1. Introduction

Welcome to SarvPariksha. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, store, process, and protect your information when you use our mock test simulation services, AI chat engines, teacher exam platform, and verified certification system.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on your tier of access, we collect different types of details:

• Free Tier (No Signup): We do not collect your name or email. Test logs, attempts, and chat history are stored locally in your browser storage (`localStorage`) and never leave your device.
• Signed Up Tier: We collect your email address, display name, account creation logs, and record your exam attempts (including scores, time taken, answer sheets), AI chat sessions, prediction history, and daily feature usage counts in our secure database.
• Teacher Accounts: We additionally collect your school/institution name, school ID, and contact number to verify your teacher identity. Exams you create (including questions and any uploaded question images) and anonymized student attempt records are stored in our database and file storage.
• AI Features: When utilizing AI Chat, AI Hints, Paper Predictors, or AI-generated exams, we process text inputs and uploaded images (OCR) through our third-party inference provider (Groq API) solely to return explanations. Images are not retained long-term.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

Your exam attempt logs, certificates, chats, predictions, and usage records are stored securely on Supabase database layers. You have full control over your data:

• Export: Download everything stored on your account (attempts, certificates, chats, predictions, teacher exams) as a JSON file from Settings → Export My Data.
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data - including teacher exams and student records - from Settings → Delete My Account & All Data. Guest users can clear all locally stored data with Clear Data on This Device.
• Certificates earned before deletion become unverifiable and will be permanently removed.
